That’s the kind of exchange you’re likely to find on one of my favorite feeds, Newsarama. It’s silly, and a little bit of a guilty pleasure, but that’s part of what being a geek is about! :-)

And My Yahoo! is a great way to collect all of your Lord of the Rings-loving feeds in one place; build your very own Batcave, Deathstar, or Rivendell of nerdy knowledge.

When I want a mega-dose of guilty-goofiness, I’ll look at Boing Boing. It’s like a bag of tricks; you never what will be there, but it will almost always make you laugh or go “wow.”

Sometimes it seems like the Web was exclusively created for people to express their passion for science fiction – it’s certainly a great way to waste time online. There is no shortage of people fascinated with Star Trek, Tesla coils, Dungeons and Dragons; the new blog i09 collects the best of the best.

If you want a slightly saner take on geeky diversions, Lev Grossman’s Nerd World blog discusses the loves of the geek world with the calm of someone who isn’t quite so absorbed by it all. And sometimes, in this busy world, we need someone to help us cut through articles about Jar Jar Binks.

Enjoy!
