Get outta town.

I’m an obsessive organizer, even when it comes to fun. When I find a handy blog about travel, I plop it into my Traveling page, where it can mingle with all the other travel blogs without any interference from cooking or news blogs.

This page inspires me and helps me plan. Photo feeds from National Parks and worldwide locales remind me of past adventures and get me daydreaming about new places to go. I’ve picked up some savvy tips about flight upgrades and security bulletins from travel blogs, and I use Yahoo! Travel’s FareChase to track prices on specific flights. I even have a custom news feed (more on how to do that in a future post) that keeps me up to date on my next destination.

Try adding the Traveling page to your My Yahoo!. You can make it your own with more travel feeds from the directory, or by doing a search. And for even more ideas, check out the Travel Smart page from our content partner, Concierge.

Do you use more than one My Yahoo! page? Tell us how in the comments.

Bon voyage,

Rebecca

If you’re looking for an easy way to find cool modules, you’re going to love this…

We’ve created page called “What’s New” and it’s populated with tons of great stuff. Take a look. If you see anything you like – go ahead and pilfer. Just drag the modules you like to your page. Or leave them and delete the ones you don’t want; you can rename the page if you’d like.

If you recently joined the beta, you’ll already have “What’s New” added as a secondary page. For you veterans, you can add it to your page.

Enjoy!

What’s a Packaged Page, anyway?

Adding a second page is simple – filling it up with great content can take some time.

Not that there’s a shortage of content (did you know there are over 7 million choices?) but it can help to have someone else do the hunting and pecking for you.

Our editors took their obsessively deep knowledge of content, and developed “Packaged Pages” which pull together the best info on popular topics. Add one that interests you and decide for yourself. Keep what you want, delete what you don’t, and move stuff around (it’s easier now).

These pages should give you ideas and help you find cool new content. So look around and find a page that’s right up your alley.

And tell us if you have a great idea for a Packaged Page, or have any comments on what you see.
