New: Create your own page colors.

By popular request, you can now customize the colors for the header, background, and text on your My Yahoo! page. You can find this new feature under the Change Appearance menu on the upper left hand side of the page. Once there, you will see a link to Customize Colors. You’ll see two visual sections like the ones represented below.
By clicking on different areas of the first section you can highlight four different areas of your page to customize. The four areas include the header, sub-header, page background, and content area. Depending which area you select, you can see associated customize options available for that particular section on the right hand side.
A good tip to keep in mind is to choose background and text colors that have good contrast in relation to each other, so that the content remains legible. The best way to see how it works is to give it a try. It’s pretty intuitive once you start using it. At any time, you can change the color back to the original color you started with by clicking the Reset link that is shown next to the I’m Done button.
You can create 9 custom themes of your own. As you create new custom page colors, you can find your colors added to the list of Custom Themes available when you return to the Change Appearance Menu.
This feature is in beta and we’d love to hear your feedback. Go ahead, make your My Yahoo! page as unique as you are.

John, not showing up on my ATT/Yahoo co-branded page as yet. They have done some funky things to the Yahoo logo, btw- it shows as white on a white bg, btw.

Customizing colors for MyYahoo is good. But allowing advanced users to share their work by publishing the themes, and other non-advanced users to pick up those creative themes, are more important. After all, not all the users are able to come up with a beautiful theme even if they want it.

Yup I spotted this new feature yesterday. Let me tell you that this is really awesome I’m really happy to see good stuff on My Yahoo!
Now I can show off a Purple theme and customize the module background with an easy light background.
One thing: the bottom links will remain blue after the customization it seems there is no way to change them (Page Tour | Tutorial etc…)
You guys should talk about what are your plan for YOS in the future

While on my email at Yahoo, I attempted to enlarge the font on my mail. I did this by hitting control/shift and pushing the +/= key. It did enlarge it…but, way too much! How do I get it back to normal size? I have tried everything and nothing seems to work. Is there a location on my mail options that will let me change the size of the text? Thanks for your help! Cecilia

Awesome new feature! The more bling bling the better. The more visual appeal the page has the longer I will stay on it. Give us more pretty themes and backgrounds. Right now I’m using Halloween which is cool.
Also, how do I completely delete and remove a custom theme I don’t really like? I right clicked on it but didn’t see the option.

I currently get Yahoo thru my provider Verizon, but have not seen the option as of yet. Any idea when it will be available?
I am looking forward to being able to create my own customizations.
Thanks

If you don’t like a color, just click on another one and it will delete the color you don’t like. I am having a problem getting the “change appearance” to come up when I click on it. Nothing happens. Also I’m trying to “add tasks” but nothing happens when I click on that either. I was just wondering what is going on? Does anyone know? It was working, then it stopped. Thanks

I have been using the Yahoo interface for years. Now all of a sudden I have lost the application background colors. Only white and in some modules (mail) it becomes useless since the fonts are also white. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. BTW Opera and Chrome work just fine…problems are only with Mozilla browsers.
Thanks…Frank

Why doesn’t this feature show up in my options? I have four options: Theme, layout, font size and searchbox size. I am not given the option for customizing colors.

I’m one of the many who has tried this new feature, but I’ve somehow made changes I cannot fix. Somewhere, somehow the color changes I’ve made now mar the yahoo.com search page, as well as the yahoo mail (by Verizon). Can anyone help me get back to some sort of normalcy? I have a ton of big red splotches on these pages.
In your debt.
Thanks
