8. I think Superman would win I guess. I dunno, I remember who Superman is only because he was from back in my day(I am 89 yrs old). Darth Vader sounds like a scumbag who needs be stopped; whoever he may be. I wish you all good luck and god bless

21. absolutely superman! as long as darth does not have access to any form of kryptonite and/or superman is not in the realm of a red sun! the force only increases one’s powers, it does not make them invulnerable!

22. first we have to look at this logically, given the fact they are both fictional characters. but assuming that the fantasy world opens up for a brief moment and these two were to exist, let’s break that down….neither are from earth, vader existed a long long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, and supes is in our present time, presently stationed on the third rock from the sun(earth for the slow crowd) now getting the mileage down between them, where is this galaxy that is “far, far away”? what is either of the two’s (vader, superman) motivation for coming to conflict, meaning…why would either travel to the other?
    but let’s assume that vader (in his quest for galaxy wide domination), suddenly decided on universe domination and traveled this way, and wanted to raise a little h….e…. double hockey sticks. this planet has a yellow sun, and that is the source of superman’s powers, so unless they met near a red sun, superman has full use of his powers, now moving on to vader…. he uses the force and a light saber. one could assume that the (force) is magical in nature. superman is vulnerable to magical attacks (dc comics guide to the dc universe) so in that respect vader may have a big enough card to play at that table. not a lot is known about the limitations of a light saber, so one could only guess that at the very least it may or may not be capable of penetrating superman’s hide. now let’s break down what supes can do…..he has super breath, freeze breath, can shoot laser beams from his eye’s, can fly at god knows what kind of speed, has super strength, can run darn near as fast as the flash, and for a brief period of time, could make himself intangible, could throw lightning, and had battlefield telekinesis. as far as who would win, i am going to say superman(not just because i am a fan) supes has an arsenal of weapons at his disposal, while vader has magic and a glowing red stick. but lets say for the sake of argument that the stick is capable of causing supes some harm. would he not just fly away to the fortress(superman’s northern retreat, for the non fan’s) and pick up his motherboard computer, and the laser sword that came with it, and level that playing field? he would not have to be such an accomplished swordsman, considering that he has super speed and can react with plenty of time to spare to any superior sword play that vader has to offer. or simply destroy the sword from a distance with his laser vision( i know a sith lord is fast, but faster than the speed of light? the only chance vader would have at that point would be the use of the force. and at best that would include a “force push” or throwing large objects at supes. i know the force is strong in vader, but could he really force “choke out” superman like he did to one of his generals in the original trilogy? i kind of like to think that where vader has great force power, the man of steel’s windpipe is made of a lot sterner stuff than an ordinary humanoid life form. let’s also look at the two of them’s (vader, superman) individual constitution, or resolve. superman has proven himself to be able to face entity’s that are even more powerful than himself (most notable of those DOOMSDAY). superman not only defeated doomsday, but sacrificed himself to do just that. he placed himself on the alter of humanity’s sake to ensure that lesser beings(us) would not have to be destroyed by doomsday. that says a lot about a man (fictional or otherwise). vader has faced, and at best… others that were equal or lesser than he. and even at those odds, he was bested by someone(obi wan kenobi) that was not, in my opinion, as powerful as himself. so should he want to square off with the man of steel, he would have to open the biggest can of …..you know, that could be brought, and even then i only see a quick end to anikan. if this fight were to take place in the presence of a red sun, then i would have to give vader the advantage, and supes would need some help.but since neither of the two exist within our universe and /or space time; i, as well as anyone, including but not limited to…. the creators of both pieces of modern fictional entertainment, can only speculate. based solely on ability’s and given locations, i would place superman in the advantage column by 80% on earth, and place vader at 80% on a planet with a red sun.

31. Superman Wins Hands Down on a Yellow Sun planet. Vader is just not fast enough.

    Vader wins on a Red Sun Planet, superman is then normal, and he is not fast enough.

    The point is that the mystical power of THE FORCE could cause damage to superman, but not enough.
