The next American Idol ® is…

The excitement. The thrill. The disappointment. The Sanjaya. It’s that time of year again – American Idol time! The show kicked off with auditions last week and I’m already hooked. Who will I root for? Who will come back from behind? Who will make Paula cry? Who will Simon make cry? Like a car crash, I just can’t look away. Imagine how excited I was when I saw EW.com’s new American Idol module. Yup – it’s a module dedicated to the show.
Now I get show recaps, witty commentary, and predictions right on my page. With EW.com’s in-depth coverage and great writing, I am guaranteed to never miss a beat (or an off-key performance of ‘Go Down Moses’ – thanks James!). Let’s all go to Hollywood - Add the American Idol module now!

hello ummm i only really like the tryouts. but seeing as there is one person i perticually like i have to say that it is going to be good. idon’t remember her name but her and her sister were there and she got a rare “4 votes” (counting her sister. but i think she could make it to the top 2!

I like the idea of having modules like this. I also like the note to self module. It is better than the old notes in the old yahoo mail.
thank you.

Are you kidding me!? I can’t stand American Idol, especially Simon Cowell–all he is, is a rich professional smartass! I will never try out or even want to meet Simon Cowell in person. I will not put myself through disgraceful treatment, humilation, the embarrassment that goes with being auditioned to be a consestant on American Idol! The show since its premiere is overrated and ridiculous. I will never like it, and not afraid to say how I feel about it!

I only wish they would get on with it. I hate the audition shows, for the most part.
I resisted AI for the first couple seasons, mainly because it was just Karaoke. Since they have actually been working with a live band, a live band full of GREAT musicians, I am a fan of the show.

Your right American Idol is so aswome! I love all the thrill and the disipoutment of it all. But somtimes Simon goes to far with the insults. He is just a rich guy with a very bad opinion on everyhthing! Everything else about American Idol I love.

I don’t know what to think of this year so far. I am sure that this show is a sunken ship. I don’t look forward to watching it anymore. Paula always looks like a drunken mess and Simon is NICE? What is going on really? I think they should have Janice Dickinson on the show for some brutal honesty. Now THAT will have me pushing folks out of the way to get to the tv!

I love all of the judges they Rock! How do people live with themselves after they act so stuped the judges are not looking for clowns of any kind. If you can’t sing why try and audtion if that is the case? Why not study voice and take some real lesons and truly give the juges a run for their money sound good every one knows by now just what the judges are looking for this is why I hate the audions and would like to see it much better for all the judges.

I REALLY LOVE AMERICAN IDOL!!!!!!!! I THINK IT REALLY GIVES PEOPLE TO SHOW WHAT THEY HAVE TO GIVE TO AMERICA. EVERYONE NEEDS A CHANCE AND THAT IS WHAT AMERICAN IDOL GIVES TO PEOPLE. WHAT I DON’T UNDERSTAND, IS WHY DO PEOPLE GO ON AND THEN GET MAD WHEN GIVEN THE TRUTH. I REALLY DON’T UNDERSTAND THAT AT ALL. IF YOU DON’T WANT TO BE JUDGED THEN DON’T GO ON.

Okay, look people, enough is enough with idol. It’s way past time for this show to be off the air. Just like every other “reality show”, survivor, big brother, and all these dumb primetime game shows. None of these “idols” have made any real impact on the music world. The real “reality” is that we have to live a country where the president has messed everything up and we have to pay $3.75 for a gallon of gas, and you people are worried who will be voted of next. Get a life. Turn off the TV!
