Getting stuff done.

Greetings all!
I admit it. One of the reasons I use my My Yahoo! page so much is because it helps me save time and stay organized. I love making lists, but crossing off my to dos is even better! So I thought I’d pass along a few ways I use my page.
To Do
This handy module helps me track tasks. I love the ability to assign a priority to them, so I can see at-a-glance what I should work on when I have a few spare minutes.
Calendar
This keeps me updated and I can quickly see what’s happening today and tomorrow.
Multiple Pages
I have a work page and a personal page (with a To Do module on each, of course!).
And there are a few feeds I can’t live without. Top Picks is a handy module when I only have a few minutes to check my page. It brings together all the stories from across my page that I’m most likely to be most interested in. I also love the Unclutterer blog, because I aspire to have a more efficient and sparse living space.
Hope you enjoy these features as much as I do!

Comment by Uniqua — December 10, 2007 #
Ya I want to know too!
They should have some kind of “add this thing” so you just click and add.
Comment by lizzied99 — December 10, 2007 #
You should be able add these modules by just clicking on “To Do”, “Calendar”, “Top Picks”, “Unclutterer blog” in the above article.

They do. Both the todo and cal are click-able and that should let you add them to your page. If you still can’t find it the links are.

An excellent way to keep to schedules entered on Y! Calendar; the CM.My.Yahoo.com module workd as advertised. Haven’t tried out the To-Do List yet, but may shortly–I’ve some project schedules to write, and the To-Do List looks a handy way to track project milestones.

One thing I have always wanted to see on My Yahoo! is a notepad–a real notepad, one that will hold 500 words or so. Yes, I use the current Yahoo! Notepad, but there is never enough room for serious note-taking. I always wind up going offsite to Google or Zoho, but their document sites are really not made for notes.

I found the Calendar easy to install - yes, just by clicking on it - but I was disappointed to learn that it isn’t tied into the Calendar that I already have filled out on my Yahoo!Mail Calendar (calendar.mail.yahoo.com). If that’s even possible, I don’t know, but that would be most useful to me.
Is it be possible to link the My Yahoo! Calendar module with the Yahoo!Mail Calendar? Because to tell the truth, I’m more likely to delete the My Yahoo! module than fill out information all over again.

how do you remove items from to do list?
Comment by suzanne — December 11, 2007 #
I keep getting this message when i click on the to do module. Everything else is loading just fine. Can someone please help me.
There were some problems while loading your page:
This content is not available on My Yahoo

Very useful! I also use the calendar for quick looks at my schedule and reminders. Too bad it isn’t working on my home computer. I have not discovered why yet. My to-do list is too brief to justify using that tool - only 1-2 items per week.
I also love the broad spectrum of news & weather tho the double lick for getting past condensed blurbs is annoying. It already brings that up when hovering.

It’s not available for all pages, apparently…is this one of those deals where Verizon Yahoo will not get something that others will?

Thanks, Yahoo!, for adding a To Do List module. One simple request: is it possible to allow for sorting by due date? Due date is a far, far more useful sorting choice than priority. Adding a date sort would be so helpful to me and it might be a nice option for others as well.

I can’t add the to do module to my yahoo pages? However, I can add the calendar. What was wrong? The error message said that the module is not available.

What about adding the Notepad to the PA?
Comment by victoreia — December 11, 2007 #
Erin, you should see the same calendar on your My Yahoo! page as you do in Yahoo! Mail (assuming you are logged in with the same Yahoo! ID).

Suzanne, here’s how to delete a task from the To Do List. Mouse over the task you want to delete. An “X” will appear at the right. Click the X to delete the task.

When will Yahoo be fixing their “home page” for subscribers? http://dsl.sbc.yahoo.com is now broken and redirects to http://att.my.yahoo.com. And the “switch back” (http://att.my.yahoo.com/switchback) page no longer works.
AT&T Online “agents” can’t be of assistance, cause they can’t understand what we type into the chat sessions. They just keep spamming me with form letter items they are cutting and pasting.
We would love to stop having our home page hijacked. And it doesn’t appear that anyone at AT&T really cares at this point. I don’t see any status updates anywhere or announcements acknowledging the problem.

How do you get to your own personal To Do list? I love to make out lists. I am involved in so many activities like teaching school, helping the needy, and babysitting with my grandchildren, so this will really help.

Wow! Thanks for the tips Collen. As a business and life coach I really appreciate having such useful tools in one place like Yahoo!
This is awesome. Keep up the good work.

Thank you for the link Aaron - I had to find my way back here and search for this thread - Yahoo e-mail tech support was clueless!
To the person who said the sbc page was “broken” - it no longer exists because SBC is now ATT.

I like having a To Do list on my home page, but I wonder why the character-limit is so small and the box is so wide. It seems to have about 3 inches of unused, and unusable, space on the right. Could the To Do list be tweaked a little so that it uses my screen’s real-estate more efficiently?
I also would like to second a suggestion made by someone else, to make it possible to list items in the list by due date, not just by priority
