Who wants a Personal Assistant?

Check out the Personal Assistant module, which packs many of the most frequently used modules into one little box. Six buttons give you the at-a-glance info you need throughout the day. Like today’s weather forecast or a peek at your horoscope (admit it, you look every so often!).

And when you hover over a button, you get a preview. So if you’re looking to tighten up your page, the Personal Assistant can save you some space.

The default view is shown above, but our team knows that choice is a wonderful thing. So you pick the buttons that appear. Swap out Lottery for Sports. To choose your buttons, click the cog icon in the upper right to see your choices. From there, you can customize further to get exactly the info you want.

Play around with this one – we’re pretty sure you’lll find it handy.

  1. What I’d *really* like to see is a way to incorporate Yahoo! Widgets into the My Yahoo! Page.

  2. It would be nice if you could choose a default button, one that always stays open.

  3. I would like to be able to put my brief case on the personal assistant. I don’t need the news or the weather since it’s already on my front page. The widgets is a good idea too.

  5. I like the idea of the personal assistant, but not the reality. I would rather see either the message center returned, or incorporated with the weather OR give us options to make less than 6 buttons or more things we’ll actually use. I, for one, am not interested in reading horoscopes, nor am I interested in the lottery.

What I would have in the personal assistant are email (with an icon when I have mail), weather (with the hover preview, I do love that), calendar (with a preview of important things for the day, maybe?), task manager, and a notepad. Wouldn’t it be great to see your To Do list right there?

  6. I like the personal assistant, but it is only good if it has the things there that you use. Hopefully you will keep adding things to it. I would love to see notepad there and the thoughts of a “To Do List” there would be great as someone said. Brief Case is mentioned allot. I would not use it but it does not matter. It is a option. That is what made “My Yahoo” so good and hopefully still will is it’s…OPTIONS.

  7. I’d like to see the ability to size the module width. The old way fit perfectly if I make my browser window smaller. The new requires to set the browser window full screen. Not good.

  10. Please bring back my old yahoo page. With the new page there are so many things on it that I never use. I’m not very computer literate and don’t know how to get rid of what I don’t want. I agree with Susie who wrote on September 20, 2007.

  11. I deleted PA because I could not customize it to remove horoscope and other useless (to me) items. Let me decide what goes into the PA.

I want my mail with “new mail” notification back. Mail makes sense on the PA and when I get to choose what goes on PA I will immediately add mail, hopefully with an icon that changes or some “new mail” notification capability.

  12. R.D. you can customize the PA. You can read more here: http://myyblog.com/blog/2007/10/11/improved-personal-assistant/

  13. I’d like to see Y! messenger in the PA on My Yahoo. I’m glad that it’s in My Yahoo now.

  14. I would like the Personals Mail as an option in the Personal Assistant, so that, like the “regular” mail, I would be able to see if I have mail rather than open up the Personals site to find out………

    Thank you for your consideration
