We’ve made some improvements to the Yahoo! Travel Destination Spotlight module including a streamlined design and the ability to compare airfares.
If you haven’t added the module to your page yet, you may want to check it out. We’ve picked thousands of amazing destinations to inspire your next vacation. Learn more about the featured destination with links to trip ideas, photos, hot deals, and more. If you like what you see, you can compare fares right inside the module.
Here are a few of our favorite destinations. Consider family-friendly Virginia Beach or lush and lovely Auckland, New Zealand:

Made in Mexico.
August 7, 2007 on 9:02 am | 2 CommentsWhen the My Yahoo! Team returns from Mexico this evening, don’t expect us to bring you back inlaid silver, bright serapes, or well-aged tequila. But we will be bringing you something even more useful (and much more personal): A better My Yahoo!.
You see, “Mexico” is the name of a conference room that the team has unapologetically taken over. (Here on our Yahoo! campus, each floor of each building has its own conference room “theme” — and around here it’s country names.)
Sure, we all have our cubes to hide away in when we need to focus on tasks, think without interruption, and make personal phone calls. But Mexico is where we all meet when the real action needs to happen. It’s a fun, festive atmosphere where brainstorming begins and where tough decisions are made. Not to mention most things in-between. It’s also where a lot of food is consumed and a few poker games are played.
So next time you see something new and exciting released in My Yahoo!, be sure to remember that it was made in Mexico.
Location, location, location…

If you like finding new restaurants and things to do in your area, try adding the Local module to your page. It’s one of our coolest modules, yet surprisingly few of our users know about it. It puts the following at your fingertips:
- an interactive map of your area
- a guide to local restaurants, events, and favorites
- driving directions
- a local search box for finding all the other cool stuff near you

This module is packed with functionality and is meant to take care of all your local needs. Since it’s relatively new, we know we can make it even better. Over the next few months, I’ll be working to improve it, so tell me: What do you like or dislike about it? How would you make it better?
Take Local for a spin and tell me what you think.
Happy exploring,
Michael

If you’re looking for an easy way to find cool modules, you’re going to love this…
We’ve created page called “What’s New” and it’s populated with tons of great stuff. Take a look. If you see anything you like – go ahead and pilfer. Just drag the modules you like to your page. Or leave them and delete the ones you don’t want; you can rename the page if you’d like.

If you recently joined the beta, you’ll already have “What’s New” added as a secondary page. For you veterans, you can add it to your page.
Enjoy!
