Having the portfolio shown without the asterisks marking news events makes it impossible to track breaking news stories on stocks listed within the porfilio function. The older version of the portfolio was much, much, better than what is currently being provided. Sometimes when things aren't broke, it doesn't pay to fix them. The portfolio format now is just about useless for watching stocks on an intraday basis without an asterisk function to track news events. Don't need the up/down arrows either, just having the stock marked in red or green gives a better snapshot. Please fix this.

Thank you

Figured there would be a thread on this somewhere.

Now I remember why I didn't switch to the new format... no asterix for new news. I've been using My Yahoo for 10 years and been very happy! In fact, it's really my principle reason for visiting Yahoo and keeping my yahoo email.

I looked at Google a couple years ago, but didn't care for it. Now I guess I'll look again.

Please fix the "new news asterix" issue.

Thank you.

I too agree with many who have posted here. I have made My Yahoo my home page since the mid-nineties. The key feature for me is the * to indicate new news for the day for a given stock symbol. Without this Yahoo will lose loyal eyeballs--and we all know it is all about advertising $. I see we will be forced to the new page in a couple of days. I have put off moving up until now.

Ok, looks like you need to add the 'company news' module and then select the 'portfolios' button. Once you have your portfolio list, click the little arrow beside the portfolio name and you'll get all the recent news for your portfolio sorted by most recent.

Some form of indicator (asterix, or color change) in the 'stock portfolios' module would still be desirable.

A comment for the designers.. this should be the default view when you add the module (with the portfolios expanded).

I absolutely agree with all comments regarding the * indicator for recent company news. I'm already looking at switching to google after being with yahoo for many years.

If you're going to force users to switch to the new version, at least support all the old functionality.

Please return the * to the stock portfolio. The asterisk notifies the user that there is a news story. Without the asterisk, you will lose subscribers.

The upper and lower limit reminders are gone! I used them every day. Can you put this essential feature back in? You can bold the price instead of the symbol. Also support other users who say that some of the columns are redundant - ideally we would choose what we want.

Finally the Market Summary module appears to no longer be customised with different indexes/timeframes?

I can no longer get my portfolios. It just hangs and hangs when I click. I was able to start a new portfolio but after entering info, it too hangs. Has there been a change in something. Thank you. Paul H.
