Improved: movies and layout options.

We’ve released a new Movies module that we’re sure will be a hit. And we doubled the number of page layout options to help you get your page just how you want it.

Movie Showtimes
With one feature-packed module, you can see the new movies line up AND browse showtimes at your favorite theaters. Now you can sort by box office rating or opening times. Add Movie Showtimes to your page.

Layout Options
You asked for more flexible layout options, so now you have six to choose from. We kept the 2, 3 and 4 column options, but added narrow and wide columns. And thanks for your informative (and abundant) feedback on this feature. Keep it coming!

I have a dark background and the movie showtimes are in dark blue print (difficult to read). Can I edit that? Also, the toggle buttons between Movies and Theaters is a grey box with white text. Same problem.

Love both of these new features!

Still would like to see a few other features:
- More options under Personal Assistant, for example Bookmarks
- An RSS aggregator service/module (so you don’t miss anything from your favorite feeds)
- Ability to customize My Quicklinks
- More rich modules like this new Movie Showtimes module, the NYT module and the Netflix module

“Headlin, summary, & Image” USED to show an image next to each entry (on the old My Yahoo) and now it’s only on the 1st entry on the beta. Any plans to fix that?

I take it these are more new US only features?

I am unable to customize this Beta page at all. The personalize this page option doesn’t work, and I am unable to delete modules from the page itself. No error messages, but nothing happens.

Has this problem been reported by anyone else?

I selected a different column layout (thin side columns and a thick middle column) but it didn’t change anything. How do I get it to work?

Once you have selected a new column layout, you can then drag and drop modules where you want them.

I’ve never really used Yahoo’s movie section at all. I’m so used to just using Google for it, as Yahoo is too… Flashy.
